Well guys, I’ve missed you all so much. I’ve been busy setting up my business, and it’s going fantastic Needless to say, I’ve not done much in the way of writing and I’ve not posted in a LONG time.

Until I’m back, I’d love to keep in touch…please can you add me on to Facebook if you have an account there….and slowly, slowly, I’ll get back to posting. I’ve missed you and I’d hate to lose touch, just because I’m being a lazy so and so on the creative side!! lol

Hi folks, it feels like an eternity since I last posted anything on Blossom Dreams. I recently started a new job and that’s keeping me really busy!

Backache and Holidays

Seriously, is there anything worse than backache? The type that makes you wince in pain when you breathe in too deeply? The type that makes you walk like you’ve suddenly aged an extra five decades overnight?

I won’t complain too much – there are much worse things…like, for example, this scorching hot weather!! We Brits just are not used to it. I mean, where does it come from, all of a sudden, that thing they call ‘sunshine’?? Most homes in the UK do NOT have air conditioning, so it’s really like sitting in an oven…slowly cooking, baking to perfection in our little homes.

There are much worse things than that too…like the fact that I’m gonna give myself a week or so vacation from blogging. I have lots of other things going on right now and so need to take a break.

So, have a happy week folks and I’ll see you when I get back. Maybe by then my back will no longer be hurting and it’ll be raining…!! Ah, how refreshing!

Bright Red Tomato

There once was a bright red tomato
who lived inside a fridge
he was ever so disenchanted
that he decided to build a bridge.

He wasn’t very happy
at the bottom of that place
so he decided he’d move up to the top
to a brighter, lighter space.

Across the carrots, up the milk
he could not decide his course
but he was really quite encouraged
by the thought of tomato sauce!

He’d figured out that all his pals
were slowly disappearing
and he felt that if he did not flee
his end would soon be nearing.

Blushed and flushed he started to weep
“A tomatoes’ life’s the pits!
the only option that I know is to be sliced
and diced and chopped in bits!

Besides,” he wailed “I’m so confused
as to why they put me there
I’m actually a fruit you know
but the world just doesn’t care!”

Finally he reached his goal
after a lot of huffing and puffing
and he sat there on that bright top shelf
next to a gorgeous bowl of stuffing.

He looked around and admired the place
that he’d always wanted to go
but then he realised in despair
that he’d miss his friends below…

Invading My Space!

Keep your elbows to yourself
as you read your newspaper,
spreading your arms all over
like you own the place.
You know that bag
you stuck under the seat?
Is that not where
I should put my feet?

Do you think it’s fun,
listening to the saliva
swishing and slurping
around your chops?
Or that chewing gum
is going out of fashion?
That they’ll no longer sell it
in the shops?

You’d think you’d never been fed,
the way you devoured that sandwich
and ceremoniously poured coca-cola
into your head…
…and rather than breathing
evidently thought
it far more appropriate
to fart instead!

So, take your face filled with sandwiches
and mouth filled with gum
your excess luggage
and your musical bum
to another carriage.

Or, instead, please…
…just be quiet!
